15 Sep Apple Butter Recipe
In this wonderful apple season, I would like to share the recipe of my mother-in-law, Louisette, who each year makes a little jar of apple butter just for me! I have modified it a little, I use coconut oil instead of butter because I like the taste of coconut oil! A little pleasure to share…or not!

Cooking time: 17 min
8 cups (800 g) of apples, peeled, hollowed and diced
1/2 cup (110 g) of coconut oil
1 tsp of cinnamon
2/3 cup (150 g) maple sugar or maple syrup
Cook apples, cinnamon and sugar over low heat until softened (10-15 minutes)
Transfer warm apples to blender (Vitamix is best) with a little coconut oil (1/3 of the recipe at a time). Store in refrigerator in glass jars (can also be stored in the freezer).
You should be getting 4 jars maximum (250 ml).
